The Lori Family Mortuary was founded by Roger and Gina Lori. They have owned and operated funeral businesses since 1975. Gina is a licensed pre-need agent and helps manage the mortuary. Roger is a licensed embalmer and funeral director and has been in funeral service since 1969. He serves on many professional boards and is a well known expert witness consultant in funeral service. Roger has always been known to say that “no family will be refused service for lack of funds.”
CHARLES J. LORI
After serving in the United States Marine Corp and completing two tours of duty in Iraq, Charles enrolled in the American Academy McAllister Institute where he graduated with full honors at the top of his class with a degree in Mortuary Science, as well as receiving his Funeral Director’s and Embalmer’s license.
Charles went on to a partnership with his father Roger at Lori Family Mortuary in Santa Maria, California. After much hard work and success, Roger eventually turned things over to his son, who now proudly oversees the family business.
After serving the communities of the central coast, Charles was given the honor to also serve the city of Taft as well as its outlying communities when he was offered the opportunity to purchase West Side Memorial Services. As Roger and Gina Lori were once the owners of this establishment when it was known as West Side Family Mortuary, they view it as coming back into the family and could not feel more privileged to again be able to serve the residents of Taft while maintaining their commitment of reasonable pricing, compassion and professionalism to the people of the Santa Maria area.
